Pre-Covid Chef Diego Hernández + G (LONGPLAY Studio) operated Corazón de Tierra in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California. Alongside a talented team of cooks, servers, designers, photographers, social media managers, architects, horticulturalists, winemakers, farmers... we reached some of the highest echelons in the food world of which among those was a multi year position on the Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants LatAm list. 

Things were going well until...2020 was a year that forced us to cease all operations at the restaurant we spent the last 9 years building, we were left with time to pursue an idea that was born whilst both were in Tokyo on an R&D trip in 2016, an idea that had been brewing internally within our teams since then. 2020 was therefore the year we each opened our respective versions of what we experienced in Japan. Diego started "Bête Noire" and G started "LONGPLAY HiFi"

With COVID restrictions at the US/MX border now allowing Mexican citizens to cross, we're stoked to welcome our Bête Noire family from Ensenada alongside Chef Diego Hernández + XANGO (Resident Selector), for a TAKEOVER that will mark our 8th edition of our monthly brunch series: Acquired Taste. 


The menu will a taste of Bête Noire's "HiFi Gastro" presented "OMAKASE" style and is a 𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 event. The experience will paired w/ 100% analog sound playing on the MasterSounds HiFi complimented by hand picked low-intervention wine selected by our good friends at CLOS.
